Bill Foley's consortium seals Bournemouth takeover with more than £100 million
Businessman Bill Foley has replaced Maxim Demin as the owner of Premier League club AFC Bournemouth.

While issuing a statement on the deal, Foley said that he tremendously respected the support and passion "the Bournemouth community" shows for the club. He also said that the club will follow the approach of "always advance, never retreat."
Foley has already revealed his intentions of expanding the training facilities and enhancing player development and fan experience to put Bournemouth in "the best possible position" to achieve success. He said he was committed to working with the best business and football minds. The 77-year-old businessman will also likely give Bournemouth's head coach Gary O'Neil a big purse for new signings during the January transfer window. O'Neil was confirmed as Bournemouth's head coach last month.
Maxim Demin owned AFC Bournemouth for 11 years. During Demin's ownership, the club advanced from League One to the Premier League. Foley also praised the club's previous owner and said that AFC Bournemouth might have "ceased to exist" without the belief and financial backing of Demin.
Foley will attend the upcoming home match of Bournemouth against Crystal Palace on December 31.
