British adventurer Bear Grylls talked about a secret mission he led on Mount Everest earlier this year in an attempt to retrieve the mortal remains of Pippa Middleton brother-in-law, Michael Matthews.

Michael met with a mountaineering accident in 1999 and died hours after becoming the youngest Brit, at age 22, who climbed the top of the world's tallest peak. Bear set the previous record a year earlier when he reached the summit at 23. In a discussion with the Oxford Union Society, Bear Grylls revealed that he had led a mission in an attempt to retrieve the body of the brother-in-law of a friend. The latter had climbed the Mountain but never returned after meeting with an accident.

He said they had the best team in the world, and they tried pretty hard. Earlier this year, Michael's brother Spencer Matthews was making a documentary about his brother's story with support from the rest of his family.
