A technical blunder by BBC News has put the media house at the center of global criticism. The technical mistake occurred during Queen Elizabeth II's death coverage on September 8. BBC was covering the news related to the Queen since the afternoon of September 8 after it was revealed that the royal family members were going to Balmoral in Scotland to be with Queen Elizabeth II. The monarch was put under medical supervision after doctors said her health made them "concerned." Queen Elizabeth II passed away on September 8 evening in Balmoral, Scotland.
Minutes after 6:30 in the evening, the news of the Queen's death was made public. After that, BBC's coverage of Her Majesty's death continued. However, there came a time when a shaky camera collapsed during the live coverage. This caused widespread outrage, with some viewers terming the incident "shambolic."
After the news of the Queen's death was announced, BBC broadcasted live from Windsor Castle. The focus of the news house's camera was put on the half-mast flag in the evening. But it was during this period that the live footage became shaky all of a sudden. The technical blunder of the falling camera caused the live telecast to go all black. Later, when a person from BBC News was picking up the camera, their shopping bags also came before the camera, prompting live viewers to criticize the media house and calling the incident a "shambolic" blunder.
