Australian professional rugby league football Paul Green has passed away. Family and friends are still trying to come to terms with the fact that Paul Green is no more. He took his own life in his home in Wynnum and was found unresponsive by the police. However, there was no foul play in his death, and police said, according to reports.

Green has been a known figure across the Rugby fraternity worldwide and has also represented Australia twice in the Super League period. He has been honored by the State of Origin Coach by Queensland.

He has appeared in more than 100 NRL games, starting with Cronulla Sharks in 1994 and then shifting to North Queensland Cowboys in 1999.


As a successful and gifted halfback, he has also played for the Roosters, Eels, and Broncos and played for the Maroons 10 times.

He captained the Sharks to the Super League grand finals in 1997 but lost to the Broncos. Post his role as a player. He went on to coaching roles where he notably was instrumental in taking the under the 20s to the tournament's semi-finals in 2013.

He took on from Neil henry as Head Coach of the Queensland Cowboys in 2014. He remained the coach of the Cowboys for six years, and he coached Queensland for the State of Origin series.

The Chairman of Cowboys, Lewis Ramsay, had kind words for Paul when he recalled the seven seasons he had with them as head coach.
He would never forget Paul as a great person who contributed much to the Cowboys.

Condolences were also paid by his former teammate Martin Lang of Cronulla. Tributes have also been paid by the Chairman of the Australian Rugby League, Peter Vlandys, who acknowledges Paul as a brilliant player.

Kind words also came from the Chief Executive of NRL, Andrew Abdo, who agreed that Paul was a guide, mentor, and inspiration for all he came in contact with.



Paul's assistant coach Josh Hannay was saddened and bereft of words about this sudden demise. He was happy and healthy at the weekend as per Josh and was having a good time at the party.

Jackson Hastings of West Tigers, the Premier of Queensland Annastacia Palaszczuk, and the Leader of the Opposition David Crisafulli all expressed shock and sadness at the news.

Paul Green's Clubs from the Broncos, the Eels, and the Rabbitohs had pasted their condolences to his family and friends on their official Twitter handles.
