Arctic Monkeys UK Tour: Band to play Tom Jones at entrance even after his bad cover of their song. Here's why
The Arctic Monkeys are on their first stadium tour in the UK, and may play Tom Jones’ song to pump up for their gigs.

Is there beef between Arctic Monkeys and Tom Jones?
Tom Jones had once “ruined” Arctic Monkeys with a cover of their 2005 song 'I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor’, at a charity show. Jones had performed the song’s cover at The Concert For Diana at Wembley Stadium in 2007.
Jones had accepted the bad reviews, and revealed to NME then, "The only feedback we got were the reviews which said we’d ruined it!", adding, ““We were going to release it, but the reviews were so bad we thought better of putting it out”.
So there’s no real beef here, but the Arctic Monkeys in their world tour have been walking on stage to either one of these two songs – Barry White's ‘I'm Gonna Love You Just a Little More Baby’, or Tom Jones's ‘It's Not Unusual’.
"It's like our little moment," said drummer Matt Helders to the BBC. "Before we walk on, backstage, we all have a little dance. We're pretty tight. We've got a good thing going."
Which means that the Arctic Monkeys have taken the bad cover of their song by Tom Jones in good humour.
