After crashing out of the Wimbledon Championship in the second round a few weeks back, British player Andy Murray has regained his lost confidence. He will take on France's Corentin Moutet at Flushing Meadows on Tuesday. Three-time Grand Slam champion Murray, who won his first major at the US Open in 2012, will not spare any opportunity this time. After losing to Stefanos Tsitsipas in Wimbledon, he said that ‘motivation was a big thing’.

Talking to BBC, the British legend said, "Immediately after matches, especially at Wimbledon and majors, there is greater disappointment and greater emotion than at any other time." Talking about the short break and the preparation that he has taken, Murray said, "I went away on holiday straight afterward and after three or four days of being away from it."

Despite the Wimbledon setback, Andy Murray is ranked 36th in the world. This is his highest world ranking since the surgery that left him fearing for his career in 2019.
