Amanda Holden, the long-standing judge on ITV's 'Britain's Got Talent,' has opened up about the departure of her former colleague, David Walliams, from the show in 2022. Walliams left the show citing a need to focus on other projects, amid a lawsuit against the show's producers, Fremantle, following the leak of audio containing inappropriate remarks about BGT contestants.

Holden, while maintaining her position on the BGT judging panel, expressed her sentiments about Walliams' exit and the subsequent changes in the panel in a recent interview. Speaking about her ongoing friendship with Walliams, she highlighted her and Alesha Dixon's support for him, acknowledging the emotional impact of such changes within the show.

Reflecting on the recent panel revamp, which included the addition of Bruno Tonioli, Holden emphasized Simon Cowell's knack for reinvention and praised the refreshed dynamic, noting the higher ratings achieved. Describing her bond with Bruno as one built on mutual respect and shared moments, she commended his discretion and storytelling abilities.

In discussing her camaraderie with fellow judge Alesha Dixon, Holden underscored the strong rapport they've developed over the years. Recalling their first meeting in 2012, Holden described Dixon as "incredible" and emphasized the supportive nature of their professional relationship.

Meanwhile, recent reports indicated that Walliams faced a challenging period following his departure from BGT, struggling with suicidal thoughts. Allegations made in a High Court writ against Fremantle accused the production company of extensive data protection breaches, including the unauthorized recording, transcribing, and retention of private conversations spanning a decade.

In response to the legal action, a Fremantle spokesperson expressed surprise and sadness, affirming the company's willingness to engage in an amicable resolution. However, they emphasized their readiness to vigorously defend against the allegations if necessary. As the legal dispute unfolds, Amanda Holden's sentiments shed light on the complex dynamics surrounding the popular talent show and the personal toll it has taken on those involved.
