British actor and media personality Amanda Holden has ditched her stilettos for hiking sticks and a pair of walking shoes as she takes on the Three Peaks challenge, which is infamous for its toughness. The 51-year-old has decided to scale the highest mountains in England, Wales, and Scotland in only 24 hours on October 6. The highest peaks in England, Wales, and Scotland are Scafell Pike, Snowdon, and Ben Nevis, respectively. Holden will start the challenge from Wales' Snowdon. She will climb an exhausting 10,476 feet to raise money for charity.
Holden is helping raise money for Arching Arms, one of the charities. Heart Radio's presenter has a personal connection with Arching Arms, a baby loss charity. Holden, in 2011, had lost her son at seven months when he was stillborn.
Amanda Holden is a judge on "Britain's Got Talent" and has been with the show since 2007. She is also a presenter on Heart Breakfast radio on weekday mornings.
