London train commuters were in for a big surprise on Monday morning as Alicia Keys performed a set at the St. Pancras International Station. The American singer performed her hit numbers on a public black Yamaha piano, donated by Sir Elton John, at the station after her show at Capital’s Jingle Ball on Sunday night.

The 15-time Grammy Award-winning musician treated the crowd to a special rendition of "Empire State of Mind," eliciting cheers as she playfully altered the lyrics from "now you're in New York" to "now you're in London." Following this, the singer performed her popular hits, including "If I Ain't Got You" and "No One," and showcased her latest single, "Lifeline." Video footage captures Keys engaging the audience in a sing-along during her impromptu concert.

The delightful fans captured Keys' impromptu performance on their phones for sharing the moment on social media. “Imagine getting in a lift at @StPancrasInt and seeing @aliciakeys at the piano,” a user wrote. Another said, “So @aliciakeys just rocked up at @StPancrasInt Train Station and played some of her biggest hits. Maddd.”

In the United States, "Hell’s Kitchen," the musical loosely based on the life of Alicia Keys, is set to make its Broadway debut this spring. With a score penned by Keys and a book by Kristoffer Diaz, the show premiered at the Public Theater on Nov. 19 and is slated to move to the Shubert Theater on Broadway starting March 28, with an opening night scheduled for Apr. 20.

Marking the 20th anniversary of "The Diary of Alicia Keys," the singer commemorated the occasion with a 24-track re-release titled "The Diary of Alicia Keys 20," which includes the previously unreleased song “Golden Child” from her personal vault. She celebrated the record with a special performance at Webster Hall in New York.
