Albanian PM Edi Rama reacts to UK charges on illegal migration, slams Braverman. Here's what he says
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama blames the UK government’s failed policies on immigration and disagrees with Home Secretary Suella Braverman’s 'invasion' word against migrants from Albania.

Taking strong exception to the word 'invasion,' PM Edi Rama said that this is a horrible word used by British politicians.
According to reports, Rama said, 'It's not about one person. It's about the climate that has been created, and it's about finding scapegoats and blaming others. It's not about Albanians or aliens or gangsters, but it's about failed policies on borders and on crime. This kind of language is not a policy, is not a programme, is not a vision. It's nothing but fuelling xenophobia and targeting and singling out a community.
Albanian PM also added that 'I admire everything that Britain represents. But I really am disgusted about this kind of politics that in the end is doomed to fail.'
There are more than 40,000 Albanians who now reside in the UK, and a war of words between the present Conservative dispensation and Albanian authorities has ensued.
Edi Rama clarified that criminals have begun to reside in the UK due to failed policies of the present government. Braverman should not blame Albania for it.
Albania is a landlocked country awaiting membership in the EU, and the war and rising inflation have forced many Albanians to seek greener pastures in the UK. Many immigrants arrive in the UK in small dinghy boats from France, Germany, and Spain and then invoke Modern Slavery Laws in the UK to continue staying in the country.
The opposition and human rights groups have attacked the present Rishi Sunak government for packing the immigration centre in Manston and not providing clean living conditions for illegal migrants, mainly from Albania. UK Home department works closely with Albania to identify illegal migrants and deport them.
