The K-Pop artist of the BTS band, Jin responded to news detailing the military base he will be stationed at after announcing that he would be joining South Korea's armed forces.

Jin told the BTS fandom, known as ARMY, on Weverse that while an article he didn't want about his enrollment has been published, they can't come to the recruit training centre. He addressed them and said that he adores them but since there will be many others there besides himself, it will be crowded and could turn hazardous.

On December 13, Jin will begin his training at Gyeonggi Province's Yeoncheon County. He is the first member of BTS to sign up for the country's conscription requirement.

Big Hit Music, the group's management firm, had declared that each member of BTS would serve the required amount of time in the military for South Korea. Jin had asked for a postponement in his conscription, but he later withdrew the request and would now enroll in the military according to the same rules as other South Korean nationals.
