After massive criticism, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's U-turn on COP27 climate summit, read here
Rishi Sunak, the British Prime Minister, is now going to the COP27 meeting at Sharm-El-Sheik in Egypt after initially saying that he would not be able to attend the summit due to prior engagements.

Alok Sharma, the convenor of the meeting, tweeted his disappointment that Rishi Sunak would not attend the summit. The British Prime Minister immediately reversed his earlier decision and said he would attend the summit, much to Alok Sharma's delight.
The opposition lawmakers Caroline Lucas from the Green Party welcomed the idea with an icy comment calling it a "screeching U-turn". She also warned the Prime Minister saying let that be a lesson as climate matters.
Deputy Labour Leader Angela Rayner called it equally upsetting that the leader was forced to do the right thing by being dragged into the event after he was embarrassed by Boris Johnson's attendance.
