Gwynne, who was raised in Sussex, then only she was ready to achieve her dream of acting at the age of 25. Her breakthrough came in 1990 when she portrayed the icy assistant editor Alex Pates in the comedy "Drop The Dead Donkey," a role that earned her a BAFTA TV nomination in 1992. Her portrayal of Dr. Joanna Graham in "Peak Practice" further solidified her fame.
Along with her spectacular growth, Gwynne was nominated for 2 Olivier Awards for her wonderful performances.
Notably, Gwynne played Margaret Thatcher in Peter Morgan's 2013 play "The Audience," alongside Dame Helen Mirren as the Queen. Her talents were also showcased in royal series, where she portrayed former royal aide Lady Susan Hussey in the fifth series of "The Crown."
More recently, she joined "The Great British Bake Off Musical" as Pam Lee, a character inspired by Prue Leith, earlier this year.
