Actor Steven Van Zandt thanks Netflix for saving Lilyhammer with last-minute deal

Due to a last-minute deal, Netflix decided that it will not erase its first original series. In October, it was announced that the streaming service would no longer host Lilyhammer after the licensing arrangement expired.

After a record-breaking premiere on the Norwegian channel NRK1 in February 2012, Netflix purchased the criminal comedy-drama series starring Steven Van Zandt. After three successful seasons, the show ended in 2014.
