Actor Anna Karen leaves £400,000 fortune to a BBC EastEnders star post death

British actor Anna Karen garnered a lot of fame and attention for her role in On The Buses. The show in the 70s saw Karen play the role of Olive. She played Aunt Sal, Peggy Mitchell's sister. Reports revealed that she had left almost all of her £400,000 to English actor Sophie Lawrence.

Sophie was a regular in the BBC soap from 1988 to 1991, in which she played the role of Diane Butcher. Her family commented on Anna Karen's death and said they were horrified after learning about her death.




An official from the London Fire Brigade issued a statement wherein Anna Karen's death was confirmed. The statement said that a woman has sadly died in a house fire in Ilford, Windsor Road.

The statement added that the house was a mid-terrace house, and a part of its ground floor got damaged due to a fire. They said that a woman sadly died and was pronounced dead at the scene. The London Brigade got a call at night and managed to douse the fire.

Around 20 firefighters and three fire engines to fight the fire were deployed. The reason behind the fire is being investigated. Firefighters from Barking Fire stations and Ilford attended the accident.
