10,000 ambulance workers in England and Wales vote to strike over pay cut, says GMB
Ambulance workers and many NHS trusts have decided to strike against the 4% pay award announced by the government. The workers' union has agreed to take industrial action over their issues. The 4% cut is termed as a pay cut in massive real terms.

The GMB union announced the news of the strike. The union said that no one takes strikes lightly, especially in the healthcare section. The strike is just a representation of the desperateness of the ambulance workers and NHS trusts.
Many other healthcare employees will also be a part of the strike. Other than those of ambulance staff, call handlers, emergency care assistants, and paramedics would show prominent participation. The members of the healthcare services are all prepared to walk out in the following trusts:
Yorkshire Ambulance Service.
Welsh Ambulance Service.
Service of East Midlands.
North East Ambulance Service
Ambulance Service of South Central
Ambulance Service of South-East Coast
Ambulance Service of London.
The union is preparing to conduct the strikes before Christmas. The meetings for the potential dates will happen in the upcoming days.
The union has also informed that no emergency services would be paused during the strikes. They further assured that the union will always keep the public patient first.
Reason for the strike.
The government announced a 4% pay award, which according to the union, is nothing but a real-terms pay cut. To show their disapproval, the workers have planned the strike.
