Sharjah ruler approves more than 2,000 scholarships for university students

The ruler of Sharjah Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi has approved 2005 scholarships for students at the emirate’s universities for the 2023-2024 academic year. This is the highest among the number of scholarships approved during the past academic years.

The scholarships approved include 1600 for students at the University of Sharjah (UOS) and the American University of Sharjah (AUS) for various disciplines and programmes offered in the two universities. Applications for scholarships are open till August 17, 2023.

The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) continues to receive scholarship applications for the two universities, a statement said.


305 scholarships have been approved for students at the University of Khor Fakkan (UOKH), including 70 students from the city of Kalba. Sheikh Sultan also approved 100 scholarships for students already studying at the University of Kalba (UOK).
