In a post on X, the RTA informed that the diversion will start on Sunday, July 13, 2025, and will remain in place until all the work is completed. The commuters are advised to plan their trips accordingly to ensure timely arrival.
“Main roads and left turns on King Salman Street will be closed for motorists coming from the Marina area towards Jumeirah and Dubai Harbour. Traffic will be diverted via Al Marsa Street, then Al Khayay Street, followed by Al Naseem Street, and back onto King Salman Street. Please follow the traffic signs, plan your trips in advance, and set out early to ensure timely arrival,” the transport authority said.
Meanwhile, in June 2025, Dubai’s RTA announced a traffic diversion at the Al Barari Underpass on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311), starting June 28, 2025. The diversion is expected to last for two months.
The diversion was put in place as part of works to improve rainwater and groundwater drainage systems, as well as road resurfacing in the area. The authority had advised all the motorists to use alternative routes, including the Dubai–Al Ain Bridge (U-turn towards Jebel Ali) or the Global Village Underpass and Umm Suqeim Street intersection (U-turn towards Sharjah), to avoid delays. Planning is strongly recommended to ensure a smooth commute.
