Rains lash parts of UAE, intermittent drizzle expected on Saturday

According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), the highest temperature was recorded at 47.1°C in Mezaira (Al Dhafra Region), while the the lowest temperature of 20.8 °C was recorded in Mebreh Mountain (Ras Al Khaimah).

UAE residents woke up to dusty, hazy and partly cloudy weather on Friday.

According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), the highest temperature was recorded at 47.1°C in Mezaira (Al Dhafra Region), while the the lowest temperature of 20.8 °C was recorded in Mebreh Mountain (Ras Al Khaimah).

On Thursday, lowest temperature was recorded at 22°C in Jais Mountain, Ras Al Khaimah at 2.30am. The highest temperature was recorded at 47.1°C Mezaira in Al Dhafra region at 3.15pm.


Rain lashed parts of country's east. The Storm Centre reported rains in Fujairah's coastal area of Mirbah.

The weather is expected to be humid by the night, the NCM said.

On Saturday, western areas are likely to see mist formation with level ranging between 25 to 85 per cent in Abu Dhabi and Dubai respectively.

"It is expected that heavy clouds will form tomorrow on the eastern coast, with chances of intermittent drizzle," the Storm Centre said in a tweet.
