The private education sector in Dubai has seen a whopping growth over the last three years, thanks to the establishment of more new private schools and the inclusion of several international curricula. During these years, 21 new schools were opened, taking the total number to 215.

In addition, the total number of international curricula resulted in 18, giving the education industry the diversity it needed to implement the concept of inclusion and diversity.

In 2022, three new private schools were opened. Together, they have offered 7000 new seats for the students in three primary curricula programs- American, International Baccalaureate, and British. According to a statistical report, the total number of student enrolments so far in the private education industry of Dubai is 300,000. This number is the highest the country has witnessed so far.

The Director-General of KHDA or Knowledge and Human Development Authority of Dubai, Dr Abdulla Al Karam, said the popularity of Dubai’s education industry is due to the manifestation of student diversity, a plethora of international curricula, and outstanding offerings to the parents. Now, with so many private schools opening their gates for students, the education industry of the country has taken gradual steps toward a new future.

These new schools offer more opportunities to the students in terms of exposure, infrastructure, and options to continue with international curricula. The number of private-registered international schools has also skyrocketed in recent years. Therefore, the education department of Dubai has promised to offer world-class facilities to the students through their thoughtfully curated curricula.

Although the highest student enrolment of 300,000 was in April, the number is expected to grow with the establishment of more new schools. Plus, as the existing private schools are adopting new curricula, they might also increase the present strength, promising to take the number much higher.
