This innovation in the Emirates has captured the imagination of residents and commuters as their everyday commute has turned exciting and full of melodies. When the cars step over specifically designed grooves on the road, their tyres create vibrations that play the iconic melodies of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony.
The innovative project was launched by the Fujairah Fine Arts Academy. It comes as part of the Academy’s initiatives to encourage arts in public spaces and integrate music into the details of daily life, Khaleej Times reported.
The musical road has gone viral on social media, drawing reactions from people who are left wondering. According to Gulf News, some people felt that their morning commute got a serious upgrade, while some initially felt as if their car was possessed. A commuter called the experience on the musical road surreal and said it feels like something out of a movie.
Speaking on the musical road, Director General of Fujairah Fine Arts Academy, Ali Obaid Al Hafit, said, “We believe that music is a universal language capable of creating exceptional moments even while driving.”
For all music lovers who are in search of an unexpected symphony on your next drive, head to Fujairah and feel the timeless beauty of Beethoven with your car taking the charge. Just ensure that the vehicle is moving at the correct speed to catch every note.
