Dubai announces health competition. Winners to get 240,000 dirhams. How to enrol

Dubai Health Authority, in partnership with STEPPI and Aster Clinics and Hospitals, has launched a health and wellness competition. A total of 15 male and 15 female winners will be announced at the end of the competition. 20th August is the last date for registration of the competition. To win, the contestants must achieve the criteria until the end of the competition period on on 20th December.

"By participating in the Health & Happiness program, you will not only prioritize your own health but also contribute to the vitality of the Dubai community. Through health screening, we will help to identify areas where we can make positive changes, and through fun activity challenges, we will inspire one another to take charge of our lifestyles and emerge as healthier, happier individuals," Dubai Health Authority said.

All members of the community, citizens and residents of Dubai in the age group 18-plus can join the competition. There is no specific weight to participate in the competition. The winners will be announced in January 2024. Dubai Health Authority has announced an award of 240,000 dirhams in cash and kind for the winners.


"The competition aims to promote and develop community awareness about the importance of adopting healthy patterns to prevent lifestyle diseases," Dubai Health Authority said.

After joining, visit any of the listed Aster Health clinics to complete your health screening.

The criteria required to win the health competition include rate of change in BMI at the end of the competition, rate of change in cumulative blood sugar (HbA1c) level, rate of change in cholesterol level, number of steps per week and frequency of exercise per week.
