Babar Azam or Virat Kohli? A Pakistani female cricket fan's reply is winning the internet

Rain may have robbed cricket fans the chance to witness the first India-Pakistan ODI in four years when the Asia Cup match between the two arch-rivals was abandoned on Saturday. But there was plenty of action off the field. A video of a female Pakistani fan has gone viral. The Pakistani fan was heartbroken after India's star batter Virat Kohli could only score four runs before being bowled by Shaheen Shah Afridi. For Kohli, who has a stellar record against Pakistan, it has his lowest individual score against Pakistan in about 10 years.

In 14 ODIs, Virat Kohli has scored 540 runs at an average of 45.00, with two centuries and two half-centuries, with the best score of 183. And in 10 T20Is against Pakistan, he has scored 488 runs at an average of 81.33, with five half-centuries in 10 innings and a strike rate of over 123. In the Saturday's called-off match, India was bowled out for 266 inside 50 overs after electing to bat first but Pakistan couldn't start its reply amid persistent drizzle.

In the post match video, Virat Kohli's Pakistani fan's said that Kohli is her favourite and had come to Sri Lanka to watch his batting. "Virat Kohli is my favorite player and was expecting him to score a century. I am heartbroken," Virat's fan said.


"I also support the Pakistan team," she said, pointing towards flags of both countries painted on her cheek, "I am supporting India and Pakistan."

When a Pakistani cricket fan interrupted and asked her to support her own country instead of supporting India, she replied that "loving neighbours is not a bad thing."



And when the interviewer asked him to choose between Pakistan captain Babar Azam and Virat Kohli, she said that she will go for Kohli.
Many on social media praised her for supporting the game of cricket.

"I loved Imran, Waqar, Akram like her. Would see a match to see Waqar and Wasim bowling. Inzy was also a great player to watch," said an Indian cricket fan.
