In a case of theft and arson, a 17-year-old was placed under judicial probation after he stole a delivery bike and later set it on fire, reported Khaleej Times.

According to the Dubai Public Prosecution, the teenager was involved in this act of theft and arson with another partner, and now both have been charged with these crimes at the emirate's Juvenile Court. They allegedly stole the bike parked at a restaurant and drove off.

After driving the motorcycle to another area, the duo got off, and the alleged accused "pulled out the bike's petrol tube" and set it on fire, the Dubai Public Prosecution said.

The court ordered that the juvenile be placed under judicial probation, the Dubai Public Prosecution added. Meanwhile, the other person involved in the crime was referred to the misdemeanor court.

While referring to this incident, the public prosecution urged parents to always keep an eye on their children's behavior and educate them on the importance of becoming responsible members of the community.
