Thai Airways increases flights to Hyderabad

Flag carrier Thai Airways International will increase flights from Bangkok to Hyderabad to five per week as tourist and business traffic grows.

BANGKOK: Flag carrier Thai Airways International will increase flights from Bangkok to Hyderabad to five per week as tourist and business traffic grows, a senior airline oficial said on Monday.

Thai Airways will add two flghts a week on the route starting from tomorrow, said Pandit Chanapian executive vice pesident with the carrier.

"The fligts proved successful on this route. However there were not enogh routes to serve passenger needs," Padit said. "Furthermore, there is growth in the amount of business and tourist travel from India."

The national carrier began lying to Hyderabad, a popular tourist destination in central India in October 2006.
