Swiss watchmaker Swatch Group sees record sales in 2007 and is upbeat about the Christmas season as demand for luxury goods remains strong despite the global credit crisis.

ZURICH: Swiss watchmaker Swatch Group sees record sales in 2007 and is upbeat about the Christmas season as demand for luxury goods remains strong despite the global credit crisis, said Chairman Nicolas G. Hayek.

"The credit crisis has not had an impact on the consumer sector. On the contrary, sales remain at record levels," Hayek told Reuters on Tuesday.
