Sony says to launch PS3 with 80GB hard disk drive

CHIBA: Japan's Sony Corp said on Thursday that it will start selling PlayStation 3 game consoles with an 80 gigabyte hard disk drive, bigger than previous models, in Japan at the end of October for 39,980 yen ($398).

Sony has said it aimed to sell 10 mn units of the PlayStation 3 and 15 mn units of the PlayStation Portable in the year to March 2009.
