The payouts fall under the enhanced Assurance Package announced in Budget 2023. The enhanced Assurance Package also provides utilities rebates, Community Development Council (CDC) vouchers, and MediSave top-ups as part of its broader support measures.
"Eligible recipients will be notified via the gov.sg SMS Sender ID before and after the Assurance Package cash has been credited," said the finance ministry, as quoted by Channel NewsAsia.
ELIGIBILITY FOR 2026 ASSURANCE PACKAGE PAYOUTS
Starting December 5, 2025, Singaporeans aged 21 and above in 2026 will receive cash payments ranging from S$100 to S$600. According to the Govbenefits website, as cited by Channel NewsAsia, the payout amounts will vary based on each recipient’s assessable income and the number of properties owned.
PAYMENT DATES AND PROCESS FOR ASSURANCE PACKAGE CASH PAYOUTS
Eligible citizens will receive the funds directly in their bank accounts based on the following schedule:
- By December 5: Payment for individuals with PayNow-NRIC-linked bank accounts.
- By December 16: Payment via GIRO for those with bank accounts registered with the Government but not linked to PayNow-NRIC.
- By December 22: Payment via GovCash for recipients without valid bank accounts.
