Singapore Airlines to increase fuel surcharge on all flights
Singapore Airlines said Thursday it will increase the fuel surcharge on all its flights beginning next week, including those operated by unit SilkAir, because of rising fuel costs.

SINGAPORE: Singapore Airlines said Thursday it will increase the fuel surcharge on all its flights beginning next week, including those operated by unit SilkAir, because of rising fuel costs.
The surcharge on routes to Southeast Asian countries has been raised to $30 (euro19) per flight from $26 (euro16), the company said.
On flights to the U.S. and Canada, the levy will increase to $130 (euro83) from $123 (euro78). The fuel charge for all other flights will rise to $80 (euro51) from $75 (euro48).
``The adjustments will offer only partial relief of higher operating costs arising from increases in the price of jet fuel,'' the statement said.
The airline last raised its fuel surcharge in December.
