SAP Q3 net income rises 12 pc

German software company SAP AG said Wednesday its third quarter net income rose 12 per cent to euro435 million ($644 million) despite weaker revenue.

FRANKFURT: German software company SAP AG said Wednesday its third quarter net income rose 12 per cent to euro435 million ($644 million) despite weaker revenue.

SAP, based in Walldorf, said net income rose from euro389 million in the July-September period of 2008.

The company said total revenues fell, however, to euro2.5 billion from euro2.8 billion in the third quarter of 2008, a 9 per cent decrease.
