Renault's plan to call car 'Zoe' sparks legal spat
A French lawyer has a warning for parents-to-be: Naming your baby girl Zoe could set her up for playground teasing and a lifetime of annoyances.
Attorney David Koubbi is trying to get French carmarker Renault to scrap its plans to name its new electric car 'Zoe.'
Koubbi, who's representing the parents of two little girls named Zoe Renault, insists tht first names are sacred and shouldn't be co-opted by multinational companies to market products.
He says France alone has an estimated 35,000 girls named Zoe. Renault has several other models with female first names, including Megane and Clio.
A judge is expected to rule on the matter later Wednesday.
