OfficeMax appoints Indian-origin Ravi Saligram President, CEO

BOSTON: Indian-origin Ravi Saligram has been named the President and Chief Executive Officer of OfficeMax Inc, one of the largest office-supply chains in the US.

Saligram, who will also serve as Director in the company, replaces Sam Duncan. He will take charge from November 8, 2010.

A Bangalore University alumnus, Ravi Saligram was previously working as President of Aramark International.

"Over the past five years under Duncan's leadership, OfficeMax has completed a successful turnaround and strengthened its business. I look forward to partnering with the management team to evolve the company to the next level through innovation," Saligram said.
