Obama faces high-stakes China, Russia meetings

President Barack Obama says he looks forward to a productive G-20 summit and making ``as much progress as we have seen in a very long time'' while in London.

LONDON: President Barack Obama says he looks forward to a productive G-20 summit and making ``as much progress as we have seen in a very long time'' while in London.

Obama said on Tuesday he hopes the countries leave the financial summit with a sense of coordination and a recognition that they are all in it together. Meeting with his U.S. advisers and members of his Cabinet, Obama joked that preparing for the summit was a challenge: ``Sometimes I know it's like herding cats.''

Obama is on an eight-day trip to Europe. He will also visit France, Germany, the Czech Republic and Turkey.
