WARSAW: The euro zone does not face the danger of a double-dip recession and steps taken by Greece have improved its prospects, European Central Bank Executive Board member Gertrud Tumpel-Gugerell said on Friday.

"The growth outlook (in the euro zone) shows a much better performance but recovery is still not very strong," Tumpel-Gugerell told reporters during a visit to Warsaw.

"Greece is going in the right direction and all the measures (taken by Athens) have improved the perspectives for the Greek economy," she said.
