NABARD sanction loan assistance of Rs 200.45 cr for Andhra
The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development has sanctioned a loan assistance of Rs 200.45 crores for construction of a connecting road and 22 micro irrigation projects to the Andhra Pradesh government.
These projects were sanctioned under Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF -XIV) by the Project Sanctioning Committee in a meeting held in New Delhi yesterday.
With this, the total sanctions to the State Government under RIDF - XIV during the current year is Rs 490.50 crore, a NABARD release said here today.
The micro irrigation projects would be implemented by the horticulture department of the State Govrnment in 22 districts.
These projects would cover 1,20,000 farmer beneficiaries with total area of 1,12,500 ha under Drip Irrigation and 37,500 ha under Sprinkler Irrigation.
The road project of 6.10 km length - A K Road (NH-205) to Thimmanakottala via D Cheriopalli from 1.50 to 7.60 km in Anantapur district would be implemented by the Panchayat Raj Engineering Department of the State Government.
The sanctioned road project would benefit five villages and provide all weather access to marketing centres headquarters.
