Microsoft taps Callidus CEO to run N America sales

Microsoft Corp said on Monday hired Robert Youngjohns, chief executive of Callidus Software , to lead its sales and marketing team in North America.

SEATTLE: Microsoft Corp said on Monday hired Robert Youngjohns, chief executive of Callidus Software , to lead its sales and marketing team in North America.

Youngjohns will join Microsoft on Dec. 3 and lead the company's 8,500-person sales team in North America. He will report to Chief Operating Officer Kevin Turner.

Callidus, a maker of sales performance management software, said it picked Leslie Stretch, a senior vice president, to replace Youngjohns as president and CEO. Youngjohns will continue to serve on the Callidus board of directors.

Prior to joining Callidus, Youngjohns worked at Sun Microsystems and International Business Machines Corp
