Levi Strauss seeing economic challenges world-wide

Jeans maker Levi Strauss & Co sees many of the same issues facing its U.S. consumers, including rising food and fuel costs, in many of its major global markets, its chief executive said on Tuesday.

SAN FRANCISCO: Jeans maker Levi Strauss & Co sees many of the same issues facing its U.S. consumers, including rising food and fuel costs, in many of its major global markets, its chief executive said on Tuesday.

"We're getting no help from the economy in any of our markets around the world," said Chief Executive John Anderson during a conference call with analysts.
