Japan's Jetstar to fly to Tokyo Narita

Jetstar Airways will begin regular flights from Tokyo's Narita Airport to Cairns and the Gold Coast from December.

TOKYO: Australian budget carrier Jetstar Airways will begin regular flights from Tokyo's Narita Airport to Cairns and the Gold Coast from December, the airline said Monday.

Jetstar, a subsidiary of Qantas Airways, will offer a daily return service from Tokyo to Cairns and a five time weekly return service to the Gold Coast using Airbus A330-200 passenger jets.

The no-frills airline, which already serves Osaka and Nagoya in Japan, is offering a special introductory fare starting at 20,000 yen (187 US dollars).
