Japan's industrial output drops 8.5% in November

TOKYO: Japanese industrial output plunged a record 8.5 per cent in November from the previous month, even more than previously thought, the government said on Monday.

An initial estimate released last month had been for a drop of 8.1 per cent. It is the biggest fall since comparable records began in 1953.
