Japan pledges 17 billion-dollar Asia package: Official

DAVOS/SWITZERLAND: Japan will give 1.5 trillion yen (17 billion dollars) in development aid to other Asian countries for infrastructure projects to battle the economic crisis, a top government official said in Davos on Saturday.
