JAL to offer restaurant-inspired meals on flights to Hawaii
Japan Airlines will offer meals designed by head chefs of popular casual dining chains on its flights to Honolulu from September.

The meals will be served in economy class on flights departing Narita, Chubu and Kansai international airports, with flights from Haneda airport offering sandwiches from Hawaiian-style hamburger restaurant Kua'aina.
Only flights leaving Japan, and not those returning from Hawaii, will offer the meals.
"The Hawaii route was the starting point of JAL's international flights," JAL President Yoshiharu Ueki said at a press conference in Tokyo.
"We want to keep coming up with new services as we face ever fiercer competition from other airlines.
"From October, JAL will roll out a women-only space where passengers can put on make-up before landing on all Honolulu-bound services, in an attempt to become more user-friendly.
