Interpipe appoints banks for London listing:Report
Ukranine's largest pipe producer Interpipe has recruited banks to organise a flotation in London later this year, the Sunday Times newspaper reported.
Deutsche Bank, ABN Amro and Merrill Lynch will advise on the flotation which should raise around $1 billion and value the company at $4-5 billion, the newspaper said. Interpipe is one of the country's largest financial and industrial groups and is owned by Viktor Pinchuk, the wealthy businessman and son-in-law of former President Leonid Kuchma.
The company has also appointed two non-executive directors, Nikolai Tsekhomsky, finance director of Russian bank VTB and veteran French financier Jean-Pierre Saltiel, in preparation for the listing. Interpipe said in February it was planning an initial public offering in the second half of 2008. Interpipe was not immediately available for comment.
