KUNMING CITY (CHINA): After the success of its 'Incredible India' campaign in the United States, India is showcasing its tourism potential in China by participating in an international travel mart in this city.

The year 2007 is being celebrated as the "India-China Year of Friendship through Tourism". As a part of the action plan drawn up between the two countries to celebrate the year, India is participating as 'Guest of Honour Country' at the China International Travel Mart 2007 being held in this city, which is the capital of Yunnan province, officials said.

An India pavilion has been set up at the travel mart in an area of 225 sq metres to showcase the varied tourism products of the country. The main entrance gate of the India Pavilion is a replica of 'Sanchi Stupa Gate'.

A total of 17 tour operators from India are participating as co-exhibitors in the pavilion to promote packages to India.
