IBM signs $5-mn IT deal with Kotak Mahindra Bank

IBM on Monday signed a five-mn dollar IT services agreement with Kotak Mahindra Bank to design, build and maintain green data centre.

NEW DELHI: IBM on Monday signed a five-mn dollar IT services agreement with Kotak Mahindra Bank to design, build and maintain green data centre.

The solution when implemented by IBM would help Kotak save over 1.2 mn dollar in operational efficiency and reduced energy costs over the next five years, a joint statement said.

IBM would also provide converged IP network infrastructure for Kotak, it added.

Kotak Mahindra Bank and all the group companies, including Kotak Securities and Kotak Life Insurance, would benefit from this consolidated data centre and network infrastructure.

IBM Global Technology Services India/S Asia Vice President and General Manager Nipun Mehrotra said, "IBM is committed to help clients bring greater efficiency in their operations by deploying solutions that can highly optimise their IT wing and hence reduce costs."
