Hynix shares drop as US ruling favours Rambus

Shares in Hynix Semiconductor Inc fell early on Thursday after Rambus Inc <RMBS.O> said a U.S. jury ruled in favour of the US technology developer in a case involving Hynix and other chip makers.

SEOUL:Shares in Hynix Semiconductor Inc fell early on Thursday after Rambus Inc said a U.S. jury ruled in favour of the US technology developerin a case involving Hynix and other chip makers.

Rambus said on Wednesday itwon a coordinated trial against memory manufacturers including Hynix in SouthKorea, Micron Technologies of the United States and Taiwan's Nanya Technology.

Hynix shares were down 2.84per cent at 25,700 won by 0014 GMT, compared with the wider market's 0.29 percent loss. The stock fell as much as 3.6 per cent shortly after the market'sopen.
