Greek pro-euro conservatives win election: official estimate
The pro-bailout conservative party won Greece's election Sunday against anti-austerity radical leftists and will hold a majority with the socialists.

New Democracy won 29.5 percent, giving it 128 seats in parliament including the 50-seat boost given to the election winner -- compared to a result of 27.1 percent and 72 seats for the leftist Syriza, according to the estimate.
The socialist Pasok won 12.3 percent which would give it 33 seats.
Meanwhile, a senior official from the Syriza party said on Sunday that the radical leftist party will not take part in a government that supports an EU/IMF bailout that imposes austerity measures on Greeks.
"The pro-bailout parties have a big majority," SYRIZA official Vassilis Moulopoulos said. "Clearly we will not participate in such a government because we cannot form a government with parties that accept the bailout."
He made the comments after final exit poll results showed the conservative New Democracy and Socialist PASOK parties were on track to get enough seats in parliament to cobble together a pro-bailout coalition.
