GM names design executive to head Cadillac

GM has named one of its top design executives as the new head of its Cadillac brand.

DETROIT: GM has named one of its top design executives as the new head of its Cadillac brand.

Bryan Nesbitt, who currently serves as GM's North America vice president for design, will become the brand's general manager effective Aug. 1.

The appointment of the 40-year-old was one of many announced Thursday by the Detroit-based automaker.

GM also named Brent Dewar, GM Europe's vice president for sales, as vice president for the global Chevrolet brand.

The 54-year-old will be responsible for the Chevrolet brand in North America and the brand's coordination globally.

In addition, Susan Docherty will become general manager for GM's Buick-GMC brands. The 46-year-old is the automaker's North America vice president for the Buick-GMC channel.
