KOLKATA: With gizmo-savvy Bond character Daniel Craig as its brand ambassador, the international watch major wishes to reach out to the general public - movie goers and high-end business barons - for the campaign to aid the visually impaired with the screen super-sleuth's support.

"We had cast Daniel since his screen and real life persona suits with our image," an Omega spokesperson said.

OMEGA and Daniel Craig teamed up to support ORBIS' mission, "Preventing and treating blindness by providing quality eye care to transform lives.

"Daniel is always keen about our campaign and he supports it apart from several top notch celebrities," he said.

As part of its consistent bid to prevent blindness, "Omega is honoured to support Orbis International and its Flying Eye Hospital, which delivers precision eye care to even some of the world's more remote regions.

"With the debut of its exquisite and sophisticated Constellation Star 24mm and 27mm, Omega demonstrates its connection to social responsibilities and has made it possible for watch enthusiasts to make their own contribution to Orbis International," he said.
