During a speech at the Qatar Economic Forum on Wednesday, Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of US President Donald Trump, hinted at the possibility of a future presidential run, saying, "That calling is there." When asked whether he might "pick up the reins" after his father steps away from politics, Trump Jr., 47, responded with a mix of humor and hesitation: "Here we go. Well... oh boy," drawing light applause from the audience. He added, "It’s an honor to be asked and to see that some people are okay with it."

He continued, "So the answer is, I don’t know—maybe one day. That calling is there. I’ll always be very active and vocal about these issues. I believe my father has truly transformed the Republican Party."

Donald Trump Jr on former First Lady Jill Biden

Donald Trump Jr. recently stirred controversy by mocking former First Lady Jill Biden, questioning her use of the title "Dr." and implying she failed to detect former President Joe Biden's advanced prostate cancer diagnosis. In a social media post, Trump Jr. sarcastically asked, "How did Dr. Jill Biden miss stage five metastatic cancer or is this yet another coverup???" He later clarified that his comment was intended as a joke, acknowledging that Jill Biden holds a doctorate in education, not medicine.

This remark followed President Donald Trump's press briefing, where he mistakenly referred to Joe Biden's condition as "stage 9" cancer—a non-existent classification. Trump expressed surprise that the diagnosis hadn't been disclosed earlier and questioned the transparency surrounding Biden's health.

The situation has intensified political debates, with some figures, including DOJ official Leo Terrell, suggesting that Jill Biden should face charges for allegedly concealing her husband's health issues . Medical experts have also expressed astonishment that such an advanced cancer went undetected, given routine screenings. Despite the political turmoil, President Biden has publicly acknowledged his diagnosis and expressed gratitude for the support he's received.
