A new main trailer for Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 was released today, featuring the most-awaited battles, such as Yuji vs. Yuta and Maki vs. the Zenin clan. The new trailer also confirmed that part 1 of JJK season 3 is scheduled to be released in January 2026.
A new JJK special edition movie is also slated for premiere on November 7, 2025, which includes a recap of the Shibuya arc and the first two episodes of season 3.

JJK Season 3 details
The Anime Expo 2025 left Jujutsu Kaisen fans a bit underwhelmed, with no major updates about the highly anticipated third season. However, the wait finally paid off today during a special event celebrating the anime’s fifth anniversary. To mark the milestone, the JJK production team revealed some long-awaited news — including the season 3 release window, an official main trailer, and more exciting details.A brand-new action-packed trailer for JJK season 3, teasing the much-awaited Yuta vs. Yuji, Maki’s awakening, and the Culling Games orchestrated by Kenjaku, was released at the fifth JJK anime anniversary event. More importantly, the new trailer also revealed that Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 is officially slated to premiere in January 2026.
Crunchyroll will stream the new season exclusively worldwide, excluding Asia, with episodes dropping weekly on the same day as their Japanese broadcast. The upcoming season, also referred to as “Jujutsu Kaisen The Culling Game,” will adapt the manga arc of the same name.
The first teaser trailer throws viewers straight into the chaos, with protagonist Yuji Itadori consumed by guilt and despair after believing he caused countless deaths during the “Shibuya Incident.” The preview teases a high-stakes clash between Yuji and Yuta Okkotsu—the central figure of the prequel film Jujutsu Kaisen 0—as well as a fiery confrontation between newcomer Naoya Zen’in and Choso. Fans also get quick glimpses of Megumi Fushiguro, Yuki Tsukumo, and Maki Zen’in. MAPPA is once again behind the animation, with Shota Goshozono directing, Hiroshi Seko handling the scripts and series composition, and Yosuke Yajima alongside Hiromi Niwa designing the characters.
The Japanese voice cast returns with Junya Enoki as Yuji Itadori, Yuma Uchida as Megumi Fushiguro, Daisuke Namikawa as Choso, and Megumi Ogata stepping in as Yuta Okkotsu.
Adapted from Gege Akutami’s best-selling manga, Jujutsu Kaisen has already surpassed 100 million copies in circulation worldwide. The manga officially wrapped up its Weekly Shonen Jump serialization in September 2024. On the anime front, the first season aired from October 2020 to March 2021, while the second season ran from July to December 2023, covering both the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc and the Shibuya Incident arc.
